Homo Sapiens Unadorned–The Idea


The unadorned human figure can be lofty (think Sistine Chapel) or low (think local porn shop) and complicated for anyone wanting to explore fine art nude photography . . . reason enough to start a discussion.

More than a website with the usual galleries of photos, this blog/website is a place to talk.

Why is the human form one of the oldest artistic subjects? Why do artists return to the human form, over and over, looking for new expressions?

Why does figurative art still make some of us uncomfortable? Are photographs more explicit somehow than Michaelangelo’s David?
