Jerrie Hurd Fine Art Photos

“What spirit is so empty and blind that it cannot recognize the fact that the foot is more noble than the shoe, and skin more beautiful than the garment with which it is clothed?”
–Michelangelo

Homo Sapiens Unadorned–The Idea

The unadorned human figure can be lofty (think Sistine Chapel) or low (think local porn shop) and complicated for anyone wanting to explore fine art nude photography . . . reason enough to start a discussion.

More than a website with the usual galleries of photos, this blog/website is a place to talk.

Why is the human form one of the oldest artistic subjects? Why do artists return to the human form, over and over, looking for new expressions?

Why does figurative art still make some of us uncomfortable? Are photographs more explicit somehow than Michaelangelo’s David?

These are all interesting and on-going discussions. Hope you join the CONVERSATION.
