This series of photos feature a 1950′s pink skirt. I’ve discussed my “Pink Skirt Project” before on this blog. I’ve paired these three photographs because they move from the realistic, to blurred-motion, to an almost fantastical image created by increased blurred motion.
Which is the hardest to get right?
The realistic one requires careful technical attention to get everything sharp. The blurred-motion one also requires technical know-how but also a willingness to let the motion be the picture. The fantasy one requires a willingness to push a bit beyond where you expect to get a good photo and hope you get something interesting, and when it works . . .
I have framed these individually and as a series. I like the series, obviously. They all can be printed large or small. I think they would interesting in a bedroom or exercise area.
