The model who can pose underwater is a keeper!
This photo was captured at night (to avoid the glare of sunlight) in a friend’s swimming pool. The model was asked to sink and stay down as long as possible, not an easy task. In the best of circumstances this is a chancy, fun way to work. The water often distorts the image–sometimes that’s good. The colors are anyone’s guess. Some shots from the same session came out green, not blue. I was using the pool lights, overhead floods, and an off camera flash. The softness is from the water.
This will actually print quite large but seems like a more intimate piece. It would be fun in a bathroom.
